Using provisions under the Violence Against Women Act [VAWA], MEDOVI staff work with people who have been abused by a spouse or intimate partner. MEDOVI services are confidential and can help you to attain legal immigration status without having to rely on the support of your abuser. They assist foreign born victims of domestic violence in obtaining legal residence, self-petitions or U visas. They use a language line for non-English speakers.
