At our regularly scheduled breakfast meeting on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, Jim Witkin of Linowes & Blocher, LLP, will present on the hot topics in Maryland environmental law, including: the new energy benchmarking regulations, recent changes to the MD lead paint law, status of the Maryland hazardous waste reporting law, and green building issues (application pending for 1 hr. of VA CLE credit).
For those of you who missed David Freishtat and Nancy Regelin’s presentation titled “Place-Making: Legal Aspects of Privately Owned Public Spaces (POPS),” which was given to MSBA members in Baltimore last year, we are happy to announce that they will be giving an updated presentation locally as a CLE on Thursday, March 26, 2015, from 5:30 to 7:30 in the CLE classroom at Bar Headquarters. At our regularly scheduled breakfast meeting on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, a representative of Bock & Clark will again be joining us to discuss environmental due diligence in commercial transactions (1 hr. of VA CLE credit will be available).
At our regularly scheduled breakfast meeting on Tuesday, June 9, 2015, Chuck Kasky, Senior Vice President of the Maryland Association of Realtors will speak regarding that organization’s most talked about contract dispute issues, and frequently asked questions from their legal hotline. Unless otherwise noted above, all meetings will be held at 8:00 a.m. in the Sixth Floor Conference Center at Shulman Rogers’ offices at 12505 Park Potomac Avenue, Potomac, MD 20854, and breakfast will be provided.
