Mentee Application                        Mentor/Mentee Guidelines

New Practitioner Section

Welcome back, New Practitioners!  We hope you’re ready to join us for a year designed to make you a better and more confident lawyer.   First thing is first, however, because who wants all work and no play?  Join us at Gordon Biersch in the Rockville Town Center for a Welcome Happy Hour on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 5:30 p.m.  It will give you a chance to meet your fellow newbies who will certainly motivate you to gear up for your awesome year ahead.  Then, coming up at the Bar Building on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 5:00 p.m., Jeffrey M. Schwaber, of Stein Sperling Bennett De Jong Driscoll PC and J. Bradford McCullough, of Lerch, Early & Brewer, Chtd.  will give you all the tools you need to ace your next deposition.  Don’t miss it.  We also will be hosting our monthly meetings the second Tuesday of every month, so mark your calendars for those as well.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact Caitlin C. Grant or Judith G. Cornwell.

Have you practiced law for seven years or more?  If so, the Mentor/Mentee Committee is looking for your help to mentor and develop the next generation of the Montgomery County Bar Association.  Please consider participating today!
By participating in the Bar’s Mentor-Mentee Program, experienced attorney-mentors are paired with new-practitioner-mentees.  The mentors share their experiences and wisdom with their mentees. Both mentors and mentees build relationships with each other, involve themselves in the Montgomery County Bar Association, and network with other mentors and mentees.  With their involvement, each can learn from one another.
If you have been practicing law for less than seven years and would like guidance from a mentor, we encourage you to apply to get a mentor.  All applications to be a mentor or mentee are available at  They can be submitted at any time to Elizabeth McInturff or Shuaa Tajammul.
